Gardens of the Mughal Empire

Follow in the footsteps of the Mughal Emperors of the Indian subcontinent, who ruled between 1526 and 1858 in an area that is today divided among Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kashmir, and northern India.

There are 11 gardens and sites for you to discover in this first phase of the journey, which centers on Lahore in modern Pakistan. The route you will travel is based on an intinerary these emperors would likely have taken as they moved around and through the revered “City of Gardens.” Point your mose and click on each stop to learn more.
